1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Signill ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

Signill is a daily email service that delivers:

• Curated quotes selected for reflection and action
• Original generative AI artwork matching your chosen theme
• 4K phone wallpapers for download
• Twitter/X header images
• Share-ready quote cards for social media

The Service visualizes your year through a daily counter system, allowing you to view your progress as either "Days Spent" or "Days Remaining." You can choose from six different themes (Ember, Frost, Void, Mono, Bang, Prism) and customize your email delivery time and preferences.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing:

• A valid email address
• Your first and last name

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Beta Period and Subscription

Signill is currently in a beta period. During the beta:

• New users receive 30 days of free access to all features (could be longer period too)
• No credit card is required during the beta period
• You can cancel at any time during the beta

After the beta period, the Service will transition to a paid subscription model. We will notify you before the beta period ends and provide information about subscription options. You will have the option to continue with a paid subscription or cancel your account.

Future subscription pricing and terms will be communicated separately when the paid service launches.

5. User Content and Conduct

You may provide feedback, testimonials, or other content through the Service. By submitting such content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, modify, and display your content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, artwork, quotes, and functionality, is owned by Signill and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may download and use the wallpapers, headers, and quote cards provided through the Service for personal use. You may not:

• Resell or redistribute the content
• Remove any copyright or attribution notices
• Use the content for commercial purposes without permission
• Modify the content in a way that misrepresents its origin

7. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

8. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in any conduct that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNILL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Privacy Policy

11.1 Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide and improve the Service:

• Account Information: Email address, name (first and last), and authentication credentials managed through Clerk
• Preferences: Theme preference, mode preference (Days Spent/Remaining), timezone, email delivery time, and newsletter preferences
• Usage Data: Last login timestamp, subscription status, and account activity
• Optional Feedback: Testimonials, feedback, or bug reports you voluntarily submit

11.2 How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Deliver daily emails with quotes, artwork, and downloadable content
• Customize your experience based on your theme and mode preferences
• Send you emails at your preferred time in your timezone
• Manage your subscription and account
• Send occasional builder newsletters
• Respond to your feedback and support requests
• Improve and maintain the Service

11.3 Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using:

• Supabase: Database storage for user accounts, preferences, and quotes
• Clerk: Secure authentication and user management
• Vercel Blob Storage: Image storage for generated wallpapers and headers

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

11.4 Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• With service providers who assist us in operating the Service (as listed above)

• Delete your account and request deletion of your data
• Opt out of newsletter emails while keeping daily signal emails
• Disable email delivery entirely through your account settings

11.7 Data Retention

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
